WELCOME to My Art Corner.
Naturally comfortable creating with darker colors, my art in recent years expresses a rendezvous between dark and bright colors. It is filled with the emotional tones of life and realism, while naturalism pokes through, as it always conveys a sense of not just what is real, but why it is real and what it’s doing.
My work is freeing because it is not limited to views often explored. It is intuitive, but intentional, with a focus on that which is natural — like bird’s-eye view of land, landscapes, maps, and a sometimes through clouds; it’s also life reimagined through broken flower petals; and then there is that real feeling from nothing explainable at all. Some of my paintings have dark undertones, yet they are freeing and light.
Sometimes my art is textured to celebrate what is — right or wrong, funny or clever. I create art that is its own movement, that which is often seen yet unseen at the same time, unspoken, overlooked, unrealized, or taken for granted. Life.
For those who believe, you feel God. For those who do not, you feel nature, his creation. It is peaceful art that oftentimes leans, figuratively and sometimes literally, to exhibit life.
